Industry Support

The Canadian Automotive Institute is heavily supported by the automotive industry and distributes 115 automotive industry awards to students each year.

Awards and Scholarships can help you with financing your education!

The total value given to students annually is $134,000 in scholarships. This is the largest amount of funds by program given to students at Georgian College! And to top it off, the Canadian Automotive Institute has an endowment principal totaling $550,000.

Toyota Canada supports the CAI automotive programs with a $150,000 endowment fund! View a slideshow with CAI students visiting the Toyota Canada Corporate Head Office.

“Each year I have applied for and received funds. As a result, I haven’t had to get a part-time job, which gives me more time to concentrate on my studies. It has helped pay for my books. I’ve been able to build a rapport with the scholarships sponsors. If I hadn’t won these awards, I probably would not be able to attend Georgian.”
Lindsay Kohuch, Bachelor of Applied Business - Automotive Management student.

The scholarships are awarded based on:

  • academic achievement
  • automotive experience
  • financial need
  • and student involvement at the Canadian Automotive Institute.

“Volkswagen Canada has partnered with the Canadian Automotive Institute in hiring students for the last nine years in our Public Relations department and, more recently, with Vehicle Administration and Volkswagen Credit. It is a great mutual experience. An excellent program and one we hope to participate in for a long time to come.”
