CAI at IMPORTFEST 2008!

CAI staff and alumni attended IMPORTFEST at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Sat. Sept.6, 2008.
This event is the largest Sport Compact Car event in Canada. CAI was thrilled to be a part of it.

Students talk “shop” with lead Chrysler designer

Students from Georgian’s CAI and CAPE met with Ralph Gilles, lead designer on Dodge Ram and the award-winning Chrysler 300, on Feb.12th, a few days before the Canadian International (Toronto) Auto Show opened.

Georgian College Students say YES!

Many fresh new faces speckled the crowd at the recent YES and AXIS Conferences in Toronto. Over 50 students from Georgian College’s Canadian Automotive Institute (CAI) in Barrie participated in the events, thanks to subsidization from NAPA Auto Parts.

Ford Canada President addresses CAPE, CAI students

Bill Osborne, President and CEO of Ford Canada, recently took time out from manning the helm of the company’s fourth-largest manufacturing market to discuss emerging trends in automotive manufacturing and marketing with students in the Centre for Automotive Parts Expertise (CAPE) and the Canadian Automotive Institute (CAI) at the Barrie Campus.

Toyota Donates $150,000 to Students in CAI

Georgian College’s Canadian Automotive Institute (CAI) students stand to benefit from a recent donation by Toyota Canada Inc. The endowment, worth $150,000 was established to support and encourage outstanding students studying in automotive programs at Georgian. This means that six students per year will be awarded scholarships to help finance their education.

CAI Receives Scholarship Funding

Joe Prossler, founder of three auto dealerships in London, Ontario (Mazda, Chrysler and Subaru), presented a cheque for $19,000 to Georgian College’s Canadian Automotive Institute (CAI) on behalf of the Canadian Association of Japanese Automobile Dealers (CAJAD). The money will go toward an endowed scholarship for students in CAI programs.
